Chief is currently preparing for a Steeplechase. He is a 25K+ horse . . . hands down. If you want to negotiate the price, Please stop reading. Only to a foxhunting home and only to a good home. Chief is currently hunting. He is a very experienced quiet field hunter plus. Stands dead quiet at checks and will jump the moon for you! He is excellent alone in the woods . . . and a very fun horse to ride. He'll take a few minutes to warm up but when he does, you can ride him on the buckle, in and out of trees, across a field, and over anything. He will not refuse.
Chief is an all day give you his heart kind of horse. Chief is for an experienced rider . . . not for a kid! So, why do I say he's for an experienced rider . . . because he has the get up and go in him. Yes, he stops and has brakes. He's an up hill horse and when he sees a jump, his ears perk up his head goes up and you need to let him do his job. You must be light in your hands with him and give him his head to jump . . . simple. You can take him on a trail ride, BREEZE HIM ON THE TRACK, foxhunt him, leave him in a turnout for weeks upon weeks and when it's time to ride him, he's the same.
This is a quiet hunt horse . . . Chief can lead first flight, 2nd flight, hilltop, catch run always, you name it. He can whip in, lay scent. Chief has been hunstmans horse on numerous occasions. He has whipped in considerably, ridden in all parts of the hunt field. He's led the hunt as a fieldmaster's horse and he's been used to catch runaways and in emergency situations where his speed was needed. Chief will go all day for you. He can jump anything you put in front of him and he's sure footed in slick situations. Chief has NEVER taken a lame step. Even if he pops off a shoe . . .SOUND. He's built tough, I should have named him "FORD". If you like TB's . . . he's the best athletic one I've had in a while. If you are a whipper in and go far off from the hounds at a distance and need something with quick speed AND that doesn't mind being alone . . . away from the pack . . . Chief is your horse! I can definitely see this horse down south. If you know anyone in Kentucky looking at this ad, call them as this is the horse they require.
This Pure TB Horse has nice breeding. OTTB I bought him SOUND w/NO INJURIES EVER . . .right off the track. Two weeks later took him hunting! Chief has hunted two whole seasons vigorously without missing a hunt. He will be hunting again this season doing all jobs.
Chief is currently exercising hounds with me and is also being used as fill in hunstmans horse. This horse is SUPERB with hounds all over him. He enjoys it and knows his job. If Chief is not sold, he will be preparing for a steeplechase and will have a home with me until the right person comes along. I'm waiting for the right person/hunt for him. If you are reading this, you will know if he's for you/your hunt or not. The description is right on . .
Chief is a tall leggy boy that is the sweetest curious NON SPOOKY TB which is the way I like them. He floats in the air. He picks up his leads from a stand still and has natural flying changes. He's a very comfortable forward TB. This is a big strided forward TB. Those of you that love the TB's and need a hunt horse, call me.
Chief works terrific in a ring. You can pop him over 3'6" courses and he'll fly over them with ease. Videos updating and will be put up on this site shortly. No leasing. No trials unless you are local and stay in my barn. You can cap with us with an appt. to see how he goes or you may come ride with me. You may send a trainer/rider if you can't make it and we can video for you.
Chief has a kind heart with EXCELLENT GROUND & BARN MANNERS. He comes to you always and loves attention. He'll follow you around like a puppy dog. He is very social. He loads, clips, loves a bath and stands for anything. He's exceptional stalled and probably the best well behaved horse in the barn . . .and it's a big one! He can also stay outside with a run in shed and doesn't mind a bit. This is a superb Pure TB horse. He has a nice weight and size to him and can hold up a good size man. Chief loves kids and peppermints.
CHIEF WILL PASS the vet. Clean legs. . . . . NO VICES. He is a Clean legged, NEVER DRUGGED HUNTING TB . . .and NO VICES (x-rays Available).
Chief's eyes are very kind and his head is beautiful! Chief also has good feet. If you want one NOW that's fit . . . . HE'S IT! If you want to blast down South chasing those coyote on those long long runs . . . . He's the man! If you have a client or student (adult) wanting a jumper to mold, he would be superb. He's jumping nice 3'6 courses and does it with ease. H IS FEET are better than any TB feet around. He has nice size black feet. They are strong hoofs and in the Summer, he needs no shoes. During hunting, I've had no back shoes on him, only front, unless the weather is bad. That's how good his feet are!
Special consideration will be given to Staff riders or Masters of any US recognized hunt if interested in Chief.
Please don't call if you want a kid to ride him. Please don't call if you have a beginner rider for him. He's for an advanced rider that knows their stuff! Thanks for reading. Honesty is my best policy.
Many many references for this horse. Staff riders, Masters, fieldhunters, exercise leasees & friends. Chief is currently working on staff with me riding him and is sometimes used as huntsman's horse for a fill in. He's hunter pacing all paces this season as well.
If you are the buyer and have a trainer, your trainer must accompany you when viewing a horse and I request to speak with your trainer before the visit.
(631) 767-4972 BayBreezeEstate@aol.com . . . . Gina . . .this is one of my prize horses and is a HUGE loss for me to sell . . . . your gain, if you are lucky to have him.
